52 percent of people who inject drugs are living with Hepatitis C and 9 percent living with Hepatitis B. Viral Hepatitis will not be eliminated unless harm reduction efforts are increased and public health approach to drug use is implemented. Hepatitis C can be COMPLETELY CURE with direct acting antivirals ( DAAs) within 3 months.

ALTRUISM IN ACTION has started working since October 2016 focus mainly on Hepatitis B Elimination and Eradication from our Tibetan Communities. We do this project through well planned and guidance of Professors an Doctors. We are more determined in taking ” ALTRUISM IN ACTION ” to further level of bringing out huge amount of joy and respect amount the folks. Within these 2 years we are successfully carried out 3 projects on Hepatitis B DNA viral loads test in our Tibetan Communities and at present we have 45 patients taking treatment and guidance under our Organisation. We are also grateful to CRO Mr. Tsetan Wangchuk la and our PHC head Mr. Karma Gheuden la and his staffs ( Tibetan Sonamling Settlement Ladakh) for full cooperation.
